You can choose to have your apron made from a firm, bovine leather with a smooth, waxy surface. Our very first leather aprons were made with this cowhide leather that weighs 5 - 6 ounces. It is a very nice dark brown that shows distressed character where it bends or folds. This leather is Chrome tanned with added oils for flexibilty. When you want a firm, protective leather that holds it's shape, this leather delivers and then some! It will become more flexible as it ages and gets broken in.
